Your study planning inputs are strictly confidential. We never share, sell, or use your proprietary information to train AI models. Your data stays yours.
Scope of Data We Handle
TrialCraft is designed for study planning inputs only — such as study briefs, design summaries, and protocol-level descriptions. Standard use does not require patient-level data, source datasets, or protected health information (PHI).
Important: Do Not Submit PHI
Please do not submit patient identifiers, protected health information, individual patient data, or other sensitive personal data through the TrialCraft platform unless explicitly requested and covered by a separate written agreement. TrialCraft is not designed to process, store, or manage PHI, and is not a HIPAA-covered service.
What We Collect
When you use TrialCraft, we may collect:
- Contact information — name, email, company, and role when you submit a consultation request or create an account
- Study planning inputs — the text you enter into the TrialCraft AI tool (e.g., study briefs, design descriptions). These are study-level planning inputs, not patient-level or clinical data.
- Usage data — anonymous analytics about how you interact with the platform (pages visited, features used)
How We Use Your Data
- To provide our services — your study planning inputs are processed by our AI system to generate design suggestions for your internal use. This data is sent to our secure backend for processing and is not stored permanently after your session.
- To respond to consultation requests — your contact and program details are used only to connect you with our expert team.
- To improve the platform — we may use anonymous, aggregated usage patterns to improve TrialCraft. We never use your proprietary study data or compound information for this purpose.
What We Never Do
We make the following commitments regarding your data:
- We never sell your data to third parties
- We never share your compound details, study designs, or program strategies with other clients or any external party
- We never use your proprietary study planning inputs or consultation data to train AI models
- We never disclose that you are a TrialCraft client without your explicit written consent
- We never retain your study planning inputs beyond what is necessary to provide the service
Data Security
TrialCraft uses industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS
- Our backend runs on Google Cloud Platform with enterprise-grade security controls
- API keys and secrets are managed through cloud-native secret management services
- Access to client data is restricted to authorized team members on a need-to-know basis
Third-Party Services
TrialCraft uses the following third-party services to operate:
- OpenAI — to power AI-generated design suggestions. Study planning inputs (not patient data) are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI's enterprise API does not use customer data for model training. See OpenAI's privacy policy.
- Google Cloud Platform — for secure backend hosting and data processing
- Vercel — for frontend hosting
Data Retention
Study planning inputs submitted through the platform are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored. Consultation request information is retained only for the duration necessary to provide our services and respond to your inquiry.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data at any time
- Opt out of any future communications
- Ask us how your data has been used
